定语从句中只能用that引导定语从句的情况
1. 当先行词是everything, anything, nothing （something 除外）, all, none, few, little等不定代词时或当先行词受every, any, all, some, no, little, few, much等代词修饰时。
We should do everything that is useful to the people.
我们应该做对人民有用的事。
There seems to be nothing that is impossible to him in the world.
世界上似乎没有什么对他是不可能的。
All that can be done has been done.
所能做的都已经做了。
He stayed in the library and looked up any information that they needed.
他呆在图书馆里查阅他们所需要的任何信息。
注意：当先行词指人时，偶尔也可用关系代词who.
Any man that / who has a sense of duty won’t do such a thing.
任何有责任感的人不会做这样的事。
All the guests that / who were invited to her wedding were important people.所有被邀请参加她婚礼的客人都是重要人物。
2. 当先行词被序数词或形容词最高级修饰时。
This is the first composition （that） he has written in English.
这是他用英语写的第一篇作文。
This is the best film that I have ever seen.
这是我看过的最好的电影。
This is one of the most interesting film that l have seen.
这是我看过的最有趣的电影之一。
3. 当先行词被the very, the only修饰时。
That white flower is the only one（that） I really like.
那朵白色的花是我唯一喜欢的。
After the fire in his house, the old car is the only thing that he owns.
在他家着火后，那辆旧车是他唯一拥有的东西。
This is the very book （that） I want to find.
这正是我要找的那本书。
注意：当先行词指人时，偶尔也可用关系代词who.

4. 主句是who/which/what 等开头的特殊疑问句时。
Who is the man that is standing by the gate?

5. 当先行词同时含有人与物时。
